Privacy Policy

Speaker & Mic Test ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
1. Audio Tests & Microphone Input
- Audio from your tests never leaves your device. All speaker, mic, and stereo-balance tests run on-device using AVFoundation primitives. Mic input is processed in real time to measure response and is not retained after the test ends.
- The App does not upload, transmit, stream, or store mic recordings on our servers.
- Cleaning Mode plays tones through your speaker — no mic input is captured during cleaning.
- If you choose to export an Audio Health Report as a PDF (Premium) and share it via the iOS share sheet, you control where it goes — we do not see it.
2. Data We Store Locally
- Audio Health Report history: Per-component pass/fail verdicts, audio route used (built-in / AirPods / etc.), device model, iOS version, and timestamps. Stored locally via SwiftData.
- Cleaning session history: Duration, frequency, and mode for each session. Stored locally.
- Preferences: Default test duration, theme, notification settings.
- Daily usage counter: A local counter that resets at midnight to enforce the free-tier daily limit. No counter data is transmitted off-device.
- Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.
3. Permissions We Request
- Microphone: Required to run mic, stereo-balance, and decibel-meter tests. The mic is active only during a running test — never in the background, never when the App is closed.
- Notifications (optional): Used only to send the optional quarterly Audio Health Check reminder. You can disable in iOS Settings.
- Bluetooth (optional, Premium): Required to test connected AirPods or Bluetooth audio peripherals. We do not scan for or store nearby devices — we only read the currently active audio route.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Google AdMob (free tier only): Displays banner and interstitial ads to free-tier users on the Dashboard and History screens. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. Audio tests, mic input, and Audio Health Reports are never shared with AdMob. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Premium subscribers see no ads and trigger no AdMob requests. Test runner screens and the Audio Health Report screen never display ads, regardless of tier.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All test results, history, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- No audio data, transcripts, or device-identifiable content is transmitted to or stored on our servers. We have no servers that hold user audio.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
- The App's core testing and cleaning features work completely offline.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your audio or test results with any third party. AdMob may collect device-level data for ad personalization (free tier only); audio content is excluded.
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Delete individual Audio Health Reports from the History tab inside the App
- Delete the App to remove all local history, sessions, and preferences
- Disable Notifications and Microphone permission from iOS Settings at any time

8. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is not intended to collect data from children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal data, this is enforced by design.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
